EVENT OVERVIEW
 

The International Cooperation Symposium on China Software and IT Industry is the most important component of the 10th Annual Zhongguancun IT Festival (ZITF), the largest IT event in Beijing, China. The Symposium represents a key government initiative to enhance international cooperation between foreign countries and China in the fields of business process and IT outsourcing, as well as software and IT development. Supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information, and other relevant ministries, the Symposium aims to:

  • provide a unique platform for business matchmaking meetings and contacts
  • bridge international IT outsourcing buyers and Chinese service providers
  • promote practical cooperation between international and domestic Chinese IT companies
  • inform international players about potential business opportunities provided by Chinese IT 1enterprises, as technological and business partners

The Symposium is composed of two integral parts, namely the China IT Outsourcing Summit (CITOS, plenary conference) on September 6th, and the Bilateral IT Collaboration Seminar (BITCS, business matchmaking event) on September 7th.

 

Activities Overview:
China IT Outsourcing Summit (CITOS)
Date and Venue: September 6th, 2007, Beijing, China.

The China IT Outsourcing Summit (CITOS) is a high-level conference in the field of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in China. With successful experience gained during the first three Summits held between 2004 and 2006, the 2007 Summit will highlight past, present and future cooperation between China and foreign countries in the field of software/IT outsourcing. The objectives of the Summit are as follows: to gain up-to-date information on the current situation of software development and outsourcing industries in China; to illustrate potential prospects in these industries; to learn about the development practices of these industries in leading competitive countries; to highlight success cases and best outsourcing practices in China and the rest of the world; to establish direct contacts between customers and service providers in the software development and outsourcing fields, strengthening cooperation between China and the international market.

Who should attend?
Corporate executives, senior managers, IT and outsourcing service providers, software developers, investors, IT and outsourcing consultants, software industry associations, technological universities, and potential customers.

The Summit is expected to draw around 300 attendees from Beijing and other software parks in different parts of China.

Activities Overview:
Bilateral IT Collaboration Seminar (BITCS)
Date and Venue: September 7th, 2007, Beijing, China

The Bilateral IT Collaboration Seminar is specially designed to be a central feature of the Symposium. The Seminar will provide foreign participants with a unique opportunity to present their latest research achievements and publicize their intentions or strategies in the Chinese market. Moreover, it provides a unique platform for foreign participants to meet with their potential Chinese partners, who are carefully pre-selected by the organizers as per the requirements of the foreign participants, to carry out in-depth discussions on future cooperation in fields of mutual interest.

The Seminar is composed of two sessions, the morning session for one-on-one meetings, and the afternoon session for field visits to software, IT and outsourcing companies in Beijing.

Who should attend?
Overseas companies wishing to establish partnership opportunities with Chinese companies in the IT and outsourcing fields, Chinese IT service providers, software development companies, outsourcing agents, etc.
